Howdy folks! (yee-haw)
They tell me this valley
belongs to the boots
To the fellows who dig up
the gold and the roots
But they don't know the wind or the way that I ride
With a whip on my saddle and grit on my side (ha!)
Oh, it's a man's world,
or so they all say
But a gal with a lasso
can have it her way!
They talk big and loud
while they sit by the fire
But I'm climbing the ridge and I'm riding it higher!
(yee-haw) They argue on maps
and they argue on gold
While I'm out in the rain
herding sheep in the cold
They swagger around with their polished-up brass
But they're eating my dust
when I run on the grass! (hahaha)
Let 'em keep their parlor games And their fancy city names I've
got the sky
and the sun! (hoo-wee)
Oh, it's a man's world,
or so they all say But a gal with a lasso
can have it her way!
They talk big and loud
while they sit by the fire
But I'm climbing the ridge and I'm riding it higher! (yee-haw)
Yeah,
they can have the world,
boys But I'll keep the trail! (hahaha)
