Dear God,
I'm penning this message,
I hope that You're listening The
world is spinning fast,
and the light keeps on dimming
We're living in a system where
wisdom's gone missing And kindness is
distant, replaced with resistance The youth
are confused,
chasing views for attention Addicted to
screens, trapped in digital dimensions Morals
are fading,
replaced by pretensions The world's a
reflection of misplaced intentions God,
are You watching this chaos we're
caught in?
We're plotting destruction,
the future forgotten Violence in the
streets, and the peace is all
rotten The love's getting buried,
and the hate is begotten
Social media's ruling,
it's feeding addiction Fake lives painted
perfect, creating affliction We measure self-worth
by likes and subscriptions A world
disconnected, bound by restriction I'm praying
for clarity,
praying for vision Praying for a
world where love is the mission
But the heart's turning cold,
full of greed and ambition And
empathy's lost in the chase for
positions
Dear God,
I'm just asking,
is there still a plan?
Do You see all the pain
in the heart of man?
We're breaking each other while we
build on the sand A generation
lost, drifting far from Your hand
I see the earth crying,
its tears in the weather Floods
in the valleys,
fires burn without measure The balance
is broken,
we sever the tether Ignoring Your
signs as we claim we're so
clever The children are hurting,
their innocence gone They're forced to
grow up in a world full
of wrong The songs that they
hear and the shows they're drawn
on Are teaching them chaos before
they're too strong We're divided by
color, divided by creed United by
nothing except power and greed The
rich grow richer,
the poor still bleed And love
takes a backseat to hatred's seed
God, are You there?
Do You see what we've done?
We're building machines while we're breaking
the sun We're chasing the stars
while the earth comes undone A
war with ourselves that nobody has
won But I'm holding to hope,
though it feels out of reach
And I'm praying You'll guide us,
restore what we preach Send a
spark to this world,
let Your light come and teach
Because we've strayed so far,
Lord, we're in desperate need I
pray that You're watching,
I know that You care I'm
just hoping this letter makes it
through the despair That this generation
prays out to our prayer Show
us the way,
God, are You still there?
Your child's still hopeful,
still clinging to faith Trying to
believe in the love You create
Even when the world feels heavy
with weight I know You can
heal, Lord,
it's never too late
