One! Two! Three! Go!
Yellow helmets down on the gravel floor We sneaked past the lock
on the rusted door
With a borrowed lighter in your shaking hand We ruled this concrete
wasteland
And the roommate who heard every word we said
Is raising a plastic cup overhead By the forklift lane where the
shadows bend (yeah)
Underneath the scaffold
and the stars so bright
We are building our empire
in the dead of night
With a plastic cup toast
on the forklift lane
We found a cure
for the shift-work pain!
Shift is over but we didn't go home
Leaving blueprints dust on our collarbones You held the flame and the
sparks flew wide
Against the metal of the warehouse side
But the foreman found the lighter on the ground
And they boarded up the gates to our town
No more dancing where the engines roar
Now we're running through the back exit door
(we gotta go!)
Still running! (hahaha)
