After The Rain

I used to watch the sky

Waiting for a change

Counting all the reasons

Why I couldn't stay

Now the morning finds me

Standing in the same old place

But something feels different

When I look into my face

I don't need to know

Where this road will lead

I just know I'm moving

And that's enough for me

Some things had to disappear To make room for what I need
