Cosmic Syntax

(hmmmm) You look

at a distant star

And see light that left before you arrived.

Put your hand against the wall—

The atoms never truly touch.

Electrons hold their distance,

And your mind calls the feeling

solid.

There is no universal now.

There is only where you are

And how you’re moving.

Nothing disappears—

It only changes form.

Matter rearranges,

Energy moves on.

Nothing stays still,

No matter how it seems.

We are

patterns

in the laws

of the universe.
