Carried Through Grace

I have walked through the valley,

Where the night refused to end,

I have cried without an answer,

Still You called me Your friend.

When my strength was almost gone,

And I couldn’t see the road,

There was mercy in the darkness,

You never let me go.

When I couldn’t find the words to pray,

You heard my heart anyway.

Became my song of praise.

You were there in the midnight,

You were there when I questioned,

You were there through the years.

You were there when I stumbled,

You were there when I fell,

And if I have one story,

It’s that Jesus has been faithful.

Faithful! You have always been faithful!

Merciful! You have always been

merciful! I am standing here today

Only by Your grace.

So I’ll lift my hands forever,

And I’ll praise Your holy name.
