(radhe radhe)
Black clouds gather in the heavy sky
Indra's wrath is pouring from on high
But little Kanha stands with a gentle smile
To shield his people from the storm's trial
The waters rise, the children cry in fear
But the Lord of love tells them help is near
With his tiny pinky finger,
he lifts the giant hill Govardhana Giridhari,
the raging wind is still!
(Govardhan! Govardhan!) Safe beneath the mountain,
the devotees rejoice With a sweet and mighty voice!
Seven days and seven nights he holds it in the air
Not a drop of rain can touch them there
Effortless and smiling, his lotus eyes shine bright
Filling Gokul with his sweet divine light
With his tiny pinky finger,
he lifts the giant hill Govardhana Giridhari,
the raging wind is still!
(Govardhan! Govardhan!) Safe beneath the mountain,
the devotees rejoice
With a sweet and mighty voice!
