Steadfast Shepherd

When the road is hard to see,

And the future waits for me,

Through the noise of every screen,

You are there, Lord,

guiding me.

When my friends say,

“Follow us,”

And I’m caught between the rush,

You lead me through paths that are right,

You are truth, You are my light.

You’re my Shepherd, strong and near,

You give me courage when I fear.

You restore my soul and lead me on; In Your care,

I can stand strong.

You’re my refuge, shield,

and guide;

Through every storm, You’re by my side.

When I trust You,

I can see:

The Good Shepherd walks with me.

(courage when I fear!) When the pressure starts to rise,

At the game or in my life,

When I fail or lose my way,

You give strength to try again.

When my family’s voices clash,

When my schoolwork piles too fast,

You’re my strength and You’re my shield;

With You, I will not yield.

When I’m worn out,

You restore;

When I’m lost, You show the door.

By still waters, I can breathe;

Your peace is surrounding me.

Even waiting, I’ll be strong;

Your goodness leads me on.

In the dark, Your hope remains;

You are with me through the change.
