  • Snickers On The Move

    Snickers On The Move

    Talia Mitchell|1

There’s a little dog running through the house,

Tiny little paws, but he’s loud as a mouse,

Brown and white fur and a heart full of gold,

    Snickers is a Jack Russell,

    brave and bold.

He wakes up early like he owns the place,

Zooming through the hallway at a ridiculous pace,

Chasing every shadow, barking at the door,

Then five minutes later he’s asleep on the floor.

Oh, Snickers, what are you doing now?

How’d you get yourself into that somehow?

You’re only little, but you think you’re ten feet tall,

And somehow you’re the boss of us all.

Oh, Snickers, Snickers, little ball of fire,

Running around like you never get tired,

Four little paws and a crazy little grin,

Every single day the chaos begins.

Snickers, Snickers, everybody knows your name,

Life with you will never be the same,

    You may be small,

but you’ve got a giant heart,

    My little Jack Russell,

    you’re a work of art.

He hears a noise and he’s straight to the scene,

The bravest little guard dog you’ve ever seen,

    He’ll bark at a leaf,

    he’ll bark at the rain,

    Then look at you like,

“Yep, I saved the day.” He steals a sock and runs away,

Like it’s the greatest prize he’s won today,

    You try to catch him,

    but he knows the game,

He turns around and does it all again.

Oh, Snickers, what are you doing now?

Why are you barking at the ceiling somehow?

You’re only little, but you rule this town,

And there’s no stopping when you’re zooming around.

    Oh, Snickers, Snickers, little

ball of fire, Running around like you never get tired,

Four little paws and a crazy little grin,

Every single day the chaos begins.

Snickers, Snickers, everybody knows your name,

Life with you will never be the same,

    You may be small,

but you’ve got a giant heart,

    My little Jack Russell,

    you’re a work of art.

And when the day is finally done,

After all the barking and the running and fun,

He curls up close and closes his eyes,

The little troublemaker suddenly looks so nice.

    For all the chaos,

    for all the noise,

For all the stolen socks and all the destroyed toys,

    I wouldn’t change a single thing,

Because Snickers is my little king.

Oh, Snickers, Snickers, little ball of fire,

You’re everything a dog could ever inspire,

    Four little paws

    and a heart so true,

There’s nobody else quite like you.

Snickers, Snickers, my crazy little friend,

I hope these days with you never end,

    You may be small,

    but you’re everything to me,

    My little Jack Russell,

wild and free. So here’s to Snickers,

    the king of the floor,

The little dog who always wants more,

One tiny bark and the whole house knows— Here comes Snickers…

    And there he goes.
