A mouse took a stroll through the deep dark wood
A hungry red fox saw how tasty he looked "Come dine in
my clearing, little brown friend" But the mouse shook his head at
the trap in the end (no thank you,
no) Oh, don't you know,
haven't you heard? He's the scariest beast,
upon my word! With terrible tusks and terrible claws And terrible teeth
in his terrible jaws (oh my!)
He walked right along and he met a sweet owl Who invited
him home with a hoot and a howl "No thanks," said the
mouse, "I'm meeting my mate
The beast with the orange eyes who's never late" (hooo hooo)
Then a snake on the path slithered out from the lake Thinking
what a fine feast this little mouse would make But the mouse
told of poisonous warts on his nose And the snake slid away
on his wiggly toes (hiss,
off he goes!) Oh,
don't you know, haven't you heard?
He's the scariest beast,
upon my word! With terrible tusks and terrible claws And terrible teeth
in his terrible jaws (yes,
indeed!)
But who is this creature,
with orange eyes bright?
The scariest beast is a wonderful sight (shhh...)
