Sunlight cutting through the window pane Birds are talking on the weather
vane Pour a cup of dark roast,
throw the windows wide Hear the laughter growing just outside Folks are
setting tables on the lawn
Nothing's really planned but the sleep is gone (yeah)
I see Mrs. Miller trying to move a heavy stand So we
run across the yard to lend a helping hand
(here we go!)
Saturday
came with nothing planned Then somehow music found our hands
A little yard, a little sun,
a few good friends And suddenly we wished the day would never
end
Behind a stack of books,
in a dusty case Spotted an old wood body with a worn-out
face Bought it for a fiver,
tuned the rusty strings Now look at the magic that a simple
melody brings All the kids are singing,
sitting on the grass
Pour another
glass while the afternoon pass
Saturday came with nothing planned Then somehow music found our hands
A little yard, a little sun,
a few good friends And suddenly we wished the day would never
end
Maybe joy doesn't knock with a warning
Maybe it starts with an ordinary morning (ahhh-ahhh) And grows into a
song
Saturday came with nothing planned Then somehow music found our hands A
little yard, a little sun,
a few good friends And suddenly we wished the day would never
end (never
end!)
(hahaha) Yeah, we wished the day would never end (just a simple
melody)
