Bought it for ten dollars at a yard sale on the lane
It's missing both the fenders and there's rust upon the chain
Every time I peddle,
oh it squeaks a funny tune
The little bell is silent under this sweet afternoon But the sun
is shining warm and bright One pedal is loose,
the chain just slipped away
But I ain't gonna let a greasy hand ruin my day (no
sir!)
Keep those wheels rolling,
let the whole day shine
Thank You, Jesus, for another little piece of time
I thought I bought a bicycle,
but I found a road
And every mile became a blessing I could carry home (carry home!)
Saw my old friend Bobby,
we talked about the past
Helped a little youngster get his red kite down at last
Stopped for cold lemonade,
sweet as it could be
Dirty hands and dusty shoes,
smiling wild and free
Keep those wheels rolling,
let the whole day shine
Thank You, Jesus, for another little piece of time
I thought I bought a bicycle,
but I found a road And every mile became a blessing I
could carry home
I started out just trying to get somewhere
Ended up
noticing who was there
On this golden ridge watching the sun go down
I'm the richest man
in this little town
Keep those wheels rolling,
let the whole day shine
Thank You, Jesus, for another little piece of time
I thought I bought a bicycle,
but I found a road And every mile became a blessing I
could carry home
(carry home, yeah!)
Rolling downhill as the stars come on
Thanks for this beautiful day (hahaha!)
