Safe And Sound in the Kitchen

Hey kids! Let's cook

up some

safety! (yeah!)

The kitchen is a place where we make sweet treats (yum!) But

keep your fingers safe from the stove-top heats When things are super

hot, we must step back slow Let an adult handle things,

and you're good to go!

Cook safe, play safe,

Keep your hands clear,

watch the heat

Safety first, then we can eat! (yay!)

Sharp knives and little hands shouldn't mix at all And wipe up

any spills so you do not fall (slippery!) Ask a grown-up helper

to chop up the fruit

Then we can clap together in our safety suit!

Are the hot pots safe?

(Not for me!) Should we touch the flame?

(No siree!) Are we helping out?

(Yes we are!) Now you're a kitchen safety star!
