We used to talk until the
morning Sitting underneath those lights
Making plans we'd never follow Thinking
we had endless time
Your old jacket in the backseat
Summer rain against the glass
Funny how the smallest moments Are
the ones that always last
We were young enough to believe
Nothing good could disappear
These are pictures we never took
Memories nobody else can see All
those nights we thought we'd lose
Somehow they're still alive in me
And if the years keep moving
on I won't ask them to
bring you back Somewhere between then
and now I learned to smile
at what we had
There's a street beside the station
Where we used to waste our
days
Now the signs have all been
changing But I still remember every
name
I don't miss the way it
ended I just miss who we
became
Maybe growing up is learning Not
to run from yesterday
Maybe nothing lasts forever Maybe that's
what makes it real I don't
need another ending To remember how
it felt
These are pictures we never took
But I can see them perfectly
Every laugh and every mistake Became
another part of me And when
the morning finally comes I'll leave
those streetlights in the past Somewhere
between then and now I learned
that memories can last
