  • Plagues on Pharaoh

    Plagues on Pharaoh

    Back country roads|1

    Yeah…

    Egypt, hear the warning.

    Moses stood before the throne.

    Pharaoh said, “No.”

    Then the heavens answered…

River turned red, water became blood,

Fish started dying, Pharaoh saw the flood.

    Cups in the palace,

    nothing left to drink,

    But Pharaoh hardened his heart,

    didn’t even blink. Moses said,

“Let my people go!” Pharaoh said,

“No, I run this show.” But Egypt was about to learn that

pride Can bring a mighty kingdom down from inside.

Frogs everywhere, jumping through the streets,

    In the bedrooms, ovens,

crawling under feet. Palace full of frogs,

servants losing control, Croaking in the darkness,

    filling every hole. Pharaoh begged,

“Make it stop!” Then the frogs were gone—but the king still wouldn’t

    drop. His heart stayed hard,

his answer stayed the same: “No freedom for the Hebrews—I’m the one

    to blame.”

Dust became gnats, swarming through the air,

Egypt scratching everywhere. Then came the flies,

    thick like a cloud,

    Buzzing through the kingdom,

screaming out loud. But where Israel lived,

    the plague passed by,

Egypt saw the difference with their own eyes.

Still Pharaoh stood upon his throne,

Watching his whole kingdom come undone.

    LET MY PEOPLE GO!

    That was Moses’ cry!

    LET MY PEOPLE GO!

    But Pharaoh still denied!

    Ten signs from Heaven,

    Ten warnings at the door,

You can build yourself a kingdom— But you can’t stand against the

    Lord!

Livestock falling, sickness through the land,

Horses, cattle, everything beneath Pharaoh’s command.

    Then boils broke out,

    pain upon the skin,

From the greatest in the palace to the lowest

    within. Egypt crying, Egypt hurting,

    Every warning becoming more concerning.

But Pharaoh’s pride wouldn’t let him bend,

He refused to listen right until the end.

    Thunder in the heavens,

    lightning through the night,

Hail came crashing down with devastating might.

Trees were shattered, crops were torn,

Egypt watched another nightmare being born.

Then locusts came like an army in the sky,

Eating every green thing as they passed by.

    Nothing left in the fields,

    nothing left to save,

Pharaoh still refused the freedom Moses gave.

Three days of darkness covered Egypt’s land,

Couldn’t see the person standing next to your hand.

    No sun, no moon,

    no light in sight,

But Israel’s homes still had the light.

    The message was clear,

    the warning was real,

    Pharaoh had a kingdom but

refused to kneel. Nine plagues came and still he said,

“No.” Then Moses brought the final blow.

Midnight came, silence filled the air,

    Fear was hanging everywhere.

The firstborn of Egypt—Pharaoh’s own son— The final judgment had begun.

    Crying through the streets,

    grief in every home,

A kingdom that once seemed mighty now was broken and alone.

The Passover marked the homes that would be spared,

A sign of faith placed there.

And Pharaoh finally called for Moses in the night,

“Take your people—leave! Get out of my sight!”

From the Nile to the darkness,

From the frogs to the flame,

Egypt learned a lesson They would never forget the name.

Pharaoh had power, Pharaoh had gold,

But pride couldn’t save him When the story was told.

    LET MY PEOPLE GO!

    Now the chains are breaking!

    LET MY PEOPLE GO!

    The whole earth is shaking!

    Ten plagues fell down,

And Pharaoh finally knew— There is a God in Heaven Who will

    see His people through!

    Blood… frogs… gnats… flies… Pestilence… boils… hail… locusts… Darkness… Then midnight came.

Pharaoh said NO ten times over.

    But freedom was coming.

    LET MY PEOPLE GO!
