Luna came into our life,
strong and full of love.
A German Shepherd girl with the open sky above.
Five litters she has watched,
five times kittens grew.
She learned the ways of cats and what little kittens do.
Jättis is her best friend,
Usva trusts her too.
And little Lila slowly learns what Luna loves to do.
Luna walks beside me through the fields and through my life.
She listens to the morning,
she runs into the light.
She teaches without speaking,
with every step she takes.

and something in me wakes.

We walk across the fields,
sometimes cats come too.
One or two will follow us beneath the morning blue.
On hot and golden summer days she loves the water wide.
She swims and shakes the drops away,
then walks again beside.
And when the spring birds start to sing,
she sits upon the ground.
She does not need to chase the day,
she only hears the sound.

A hare appears across the field,
and Luna starts to run.
She disappears into the woods,
her hunting has begun.
She never seems to catch the hare,
but still she loves the chase.
Then through the trees she comes again with joy upon her face.
She walks beside the horses too,
Carinho, Veera, Via.
Sometimes she tries to herd them all.
That is our Luna dear.
She loves the people coming home,
her heart is open wide.
But when the house needs watching,
she stands there full of pride.
And there are two dear ladies here she loves with all her
heart.
Wherever Luna gives her love,
she gives the whole,
not part. I walk with her,
I learn from her.
Her spirit came to me.
And through the life we share each day,
she teaches silently.
And when I bring her food,
it becomes a prayer for me.
A quiet ceremony to Kala Bhairava’s energy.
Through Luna I remember the guardian strong and true.
Protection, love, and presence in everything we do.
The sacred can be simple.
A bowl, a dog,
a prayer. The Divine can meet us anywhere when we know how
to care.
