System warning: Adult life has stopped responding.
I tried control, it didn’t work I tried alternate careers I tried
escape, the key got stuck So I built a door from broken
years The rent went up,
the jobs went down The world caught fire outside town We made
our jokes, we stayed alive We turned the panic into sound
They called us lazy,
called us lost While selling back the future that they cost Control,
alt, escape I’m done pretending I’m okay I may be broke,
confused and late But I am more than what I make
Control, alt, escape Delete the rules that never changed If this whole
system is a game We’ll build another one ourselves (ourselves!)
We raised ourselves on dial-up tones Then watched the world move into
phones
We learned to smile through layoffs And make apartments feel like homes
We carried debt, we carried grief We made memes out of disbelief
Not because nothing mattered But because laughter gave relief
To every kid who feels behind
There is no universal time
You didn’t fail some sacred race They moved the finish every day
To every dream you had to change
That doesn’t mean it went to waste You’re still allowed to make
a life
No algorithm can replace
Control, alt, escape We’re still becoming anyway No perfect job,
no perfect age No permission left to wait
Control, alt, escape Raise your hands and crash the stage We didn’t
get the world we planned So let’s create the world we can
System restarting.
