Best Summer Ever

First day out and the school bell's gone,

Threw a board in the back and the radio's on.

Salt in the air,

cheap shades on our faces,

No map, no plans,

just familiar places. Met up at the pier as the daylight faded,

Someone burned the burgers,

nobody hated it. Laughing so hard that we couldn't stand straight,

Swore we'd never grow up...

we'd probably be late.

Every sunset felt like a movie scene,

Every night turned into another dream.

If tomorrow comes, we'll figure it out then— Tonight belongs to us

again.

This is the best summer ever,

Bonfire sparks and the tide rolled in,
