Glass Horizon

I found a skyline in the cracks,

Where every silence folded back.

The windows wore a silver glow,

Reflecting places I don't know.

Every question crossed the air,

Like scattered dust without a prayer.

I reached for something I could hold,

Instead I touched the morning cold.

Every step became a choice,

Every echo found a voice.

If the horizon breaks tonight,

Maybe fear was made of light.

There's a glass horizon calling,

Past the walls I built alone.

Every fracture catches sunlight,

Turning broken into home.

I can see beyond the distance,

Where tomorrow starts to rise.

Nothing standing in between now,

Just a clearer set of eyes.

Clouds were never made to stay,

Neither was the endless gray.

Every dream I tried to hide

Still survived beneath the tide.

Now the wind has changed its name,

Nothing feels completely same.

Every ending left a key,

Waiting patiently for me.

I don't need another reason,

Only one more step ahead.

Every doorway starts as darkness Until the light is gently spread.

If every fear becomes transparent,

If every scar becomes the sea,

Then every wave I've ever followed Was only bringing me to me.

The dawn was always waiting quietly,

Patient underneath the blue.

I spent my life searching the skyline,

Never knowing it was true.

There's a glass horizon shining,

Wide enough to hold the dawn.
