Who am I?
Where do I come from?
I wonder 'bout life,
I look to those close to
me
My blood family,
the ones I love so much
My grandmother is Sámi in me
My grandfather was a traveler
One of the Tater folk
He wandered through his life
We don't own so much But
we carry the music with us
We have hearts of gold
We help our family No matter
how scattered we are
For blood is thicker than water
So we come back to one
another
We help our family,
those who are our friends
We stand up for each other
For we are just at heart
If something is unjust
We stand up
We are there for one another
Many have looked down on us
At times then and now To
this day,
we feel it from the authorities
They condemn us Simply because they've
made up their minds But we
don't break
Not that easily
Together we stand
Together we are strong I am
proud of my blood family
I am proud to be Sámi
And I am a traveler
in me
