I thought
the silence meant I
was gone. I thought there was nothing left to save.
But
somewhere underneath the wreckage… I could still hear my heart.
I’ve spent so long afraid of the dark,
Trying to find the pieces of who we are.
Every road I took led somewhere broken,
Every wound left another word unspoken.
I used to count every scar on my skin,
Like proof that the past had finally won.
But I’ve learned that surviving the fall Doesn’t mean you were never
broken at all. I’ve been buried underneath the weight,
I’ve been screaming at an empty sky.
But after everything I’ve lost… I’m still alive.
I’m still breathing,
Even after everything. Still believing
There’s a reason I survived.
I may be shattered,
I may never be the same.
But I’m standing in the ashes And I’m calling out my name.
I’m still breathing.
I remember every hand that let me go,
Every promise that turned into a ghost.
I remember begging for a little light,
While the world kept disappearing every night.
But I don’t need to forget anymore,
I don’t need to pretend it never hurt.
These scars are not the end of me,
They’re the proof that I refused to leave.
I’ve been buried underneath the weight,
I’ve been screaming at an empty sky.
But after everything I’ve lost… I’m still alive.
I’m still breathing,
Even after everything. Still believing
There’s a reason I survived.
I may be shattered,
I may never be the same.
But I’m standing in the ashes And I’m calling out my name.
I’m still breathing.
The halo broke.
The chains came loose.
The fire burned.
But I survived the truth.
I was never meant to be perfect.
I was never meant to be untouched.
I just had to make it through the night.
So here’s to every scar… Every broken piece… Every night I thought
I’d never see the morning.
Here’s to every voice that told me I would fall.
Here’s to the part of me that refused to disappear.
YOU COULDN’T BURY ME!
YOU COULDN’T BREAK ME!
YOU TOOK EVERYTHING— BUT YOU COULDN’T TAKE ME!
I LOST MY HALO!
I CARRIED THE WEIGHT!
I BECAME THE DEVIL— AND I STILL FOUND MY WAY! (arghhh!)
I’M
STILL BREATHING! EVEN AFTER EVERYTHING!
STILL BELIEVING!
THERE’S A REASON I SURVIVED!
I MAY BE SHATTERED!
I MAY NEVER BE THE SAME!
BUT I’M STANDING IN THE ASHES— AND I’M CALLING OUT MY NAME!
I’M STILL BREATHING! I’M STILL BREATHING!
I’M STILL ALIVE!
Maybe surviving
was never about becoming whole again.
