your picture by the bed,

Even after everything you said.

Funny how the sweetest things Can leave the deepest wounds.

You knew exactly where to cut,

Exactly how to make me trust.

I gave you every piece of me,

You gave me reasons not to sleep.

And I still hear your voice at night,

Like a ghost that won’t say goodbye.

I hate the way I miss you still,

After everything you did.

Maybe I was blind,

Maybe I wanted to be.

Maybe loving you

Was just another way to lose me.

I tried to hate you for what you did,

But I still remember who you were.
