{dobro intro riff} {heavy stomps
and handclaps} (hey, hey,
hey) Settin’ up cans down in the holler,
Brought out the big guns,
couldn’t hardly holler. Stacked up watermelons in the afternoon sun,
Figured me and my buddies were gonna have some fun.
I was gettin’ ready,
took a steady aim,
Then I heard the woods callin’ out my name.
Something was peekin’ from behind a pine,
I looked back once… and she looked at mine.
Oh no, it’s that same darn Bigfoot,
Sneakin’ through the timber like I knew she would.
She’s got a big ol’ head and some giant feet,
Shakin’ every leaf on that old backstreet.
She smells like she spent ten years in the swamp,
Still she keeps showin’ up wherever I romp.
I don’t know why she’s so stuck on me… That crazy Bigfoot
lady from the trees!
{screaming guitar fill} I backed away nice and slow,
Thinkin’, “Maybe this time she’ll just let me go.” Then I heard
branches crack behind my back,
I hit the dirt and took off down the track.
She came crashin’ through the brush with a goofy grin,
Playin’ peek-a-boo through the trees again.
Every time I’d hide,
she’d wave and laugh,
Lord have mercy, she’s a woodland giraffe!
{guitar solo} My buddies said,
“Boy, you better run!” I yelled,
“Y’all can have the shootin’ fun!”
Forgot the cans, forgot the melons too,
I was busy outrunnin’ Sasquatch Sue.
{fast drum build} There she goes,
that same ol’ Bigfoot,
Stompin’ through the forest like I knew she would.
Big ol’ footprints, shaggy hair,
Leaves and sticks flyin’ everywhere.
Maybe she’s friendly, maybe she’s just strange,
Maybe I oughta start shootin’ at a different range.
One thing’s certain, it’s plain to see… That silly Bigfoot keeps chasin’
me!
Now if you head down that old holler road,
Keep your eyes peeled where the tall pines grow.
If somebody’s playin’ peek-a-boo through the trees… Don’t worry,
boys… she’s probably lookin’ for me!
{dobro fades out with slow stomps} (hahaha)
