Grave Clothes, Gone

I carried my shame,

Bound by the chains and the weight of my pain.

But mercy called my name,

and love opened the door,

I’m not who I was,

The grave tried to hold me,

but Jesus said, “Rise,” He breathed resurrection and opened my eyes.

The old things are gone,

I’m stepping into light,

I’ve been changed by His power,

I’m leaving my grave clothes,

My life is a testimony of everything He’s done for me.
