Mercy In The Rain

I hear the sound of rain

Falling on the earth again

Mercy comes like a flood

Washing over every heart

Promise written in the grey

Not for the righteous alone

But for every soul,

every home

You send the sun,

You send the showers To bless the work of all our hours

No one is hidden from Your care

Your love is everywhere

I hear the sound of rain!

It is the voice of Your grace!

Falling on the just and the lost On the cross and the

crown! You do not withhold Your goodness No matter where we stand

I hear the sound of rain

Proving Your love for all man!

Some turn away, some draw near

Yet Your mercies never fear

You keep Your covenant true

Providing life for me and you The ground will yield its fruit

again

Sustained by heaven’s gentle rain A sign that Your love never ends

For every stranger, every friend

Solo: You send rain on the righteous!

And the unrighteous too!

Solo: Your goodness runs freely!

For all the world to view!

Solo: You do not look at who we are!

But on Your own faithful word!

All: I hear the sound of rain!

It is the proof You are God!
