Reflections of Her

When I look into the mirror,

who am I today?

Pink bangs falling softly,

but the doubts won’t fade away.

I smile for everyone,

trying to be brave and strong,

but sometimes I wonder if I really belong.

Every scar and every tear,

every dream I’ve chased,

built the person staring back,

though fear still remains.

the hero that I want to be.

Even when the darkness comes,

Sometimes I compare myself to everyone around me,

wondering if I’m enough,

The reflection looking back isn’t perfect,

but she’s trying her best.
