Black hoodie skies and the rain falls down
Walking through the halls while the world spins around Headphones loud but
my thoughts still scream Trying to hold together every broken dream
Everybody laughing like they got it all right But I’m wide awake
every single night
Writing little poems on a notebook page
Trying not to drown in this silent rage
And I know someday the clouds might break But right now
my heart still aches
I’m a shadow in the back of the room Singing sad songs
underneath the moon Cold hands,
tired eyes, heavy soul Trying hard just not to lose control If
the stars fall down tonight I’ll still be here holding on tight
Even when the whole world feels wrong These scars turn into songs
Old skateboard wheels on an empty street Every memory keeps chasing me
Friends fade out like a burned CD Wondering who I’m supposed to
be
Mirror on the wall says “keep your head high” But sometimes hope
feels hard to find
Still I light a spark inside the dark
Even small flames can leave a mark
And maybe someday I’ll finally see The person I was
meant to be
I’m a shadow in the back of the room Singing sad songs
underneath the moon Cold hands,
tired eyes, heavy soul Trying hard just not to lose control If
the stars fall down tonight I’ll still be here holding on tight
Even when the whole world feels wrong These scars turn into songs
Rain keeps falling on my windowpane
But storms don’t last forever the same
So I’ll keep singing through the night
Waiting for a little light
I’m a shadow in the back of the room But I won’t
stay
lost inside the gloom One day these tired eyes will
see
There’s still a little hope
for me
And if the stars fall down tonight I’ll still be here ready
to fight Even when the whole world feels wrong My heart will
keep writing songs
My heart will keep writing songs
