Heaven and Earth

The day you came into this world,

Heaven opened wide,

A little light placed in my arms,

With stars inside your eyes.

And every time your mother smiles,

I thank the Lord above,

Because you both became my reason,

My meaning and my love.

I prayed for something beautiful,

And God gave me your heart,

A blessing written long before,

Right from the very start.

I would move heaven and earth for you,

Walk through the fire if I had to,

There’s nothing in this world

That I would not do.

You were made for something greater,

Never doubt your worth,

God placed a purpose in your soul

Before you touched this earth.

So love yourself the way I do,

See the strength inside your eyes,

And whenever this world feels heavy,

Remember… you were born to rise.

Your mother is my answered prayer,

My peace after the rain,

And when I look at both of you,

I know love still remains.

I hope you grow with kindness,

With courage in your heart,

Never shrinking for the world,

Never afraid to start.

Some days may try to break you,

Some nights may feel too long,

But you come from love and strength,

And that will make you strong.

And if someday you lose your way,

Just listen close inside,

You’ll hear my voice reminding you,

“My daughter… shine your light.” I would move heaven and earth for

you, Carry your dreams beside you,

And every step you take in life,

I’ll be so proud of you.

You were sent here for a reason,

Chosen from above,
