Summit of Fearlessness

I stand here with my chest open wide

Cold air in my lungs,

and my name is mine Every room shifts a little when I

arrive

Heads turn slow like flowers seeking morning My heartbeat lands like a

drum in stone No borrowed courage,

this strength is living

I do not wait at the edge for a sign

I was born to step into the fire

What I carry cannot be taken from me Ancient and unbroken,

bright in my ribs

Fear can pass through like rain through the valley
