Sittin' in the silence,
time tiptoes past me I'm countin' lost seconds like sins in a
taxi Each one paid for,
but never gets you backseat,
Feelin' like a prophet that the mirror walkin' past me.
I lived 33 years,
still a stranger to my spirit,
Talkin' to myself in poems,
hopin' God hear it.
If life a test,
I'm scribblin' in margins with no rubric,
Tryna fit divine in the outline of a blueprint.
Is this world real,
or just satire in motion?
A meme of a dream with emotions as the ocean
—
You drown in what you feel,
but they laugh at your devotion,
So I bottle up the storm and serve verses as a potion.
They say, "You the player,
the play, and the stage," But what if I'm just a shadow
in the book with no page?
Tryna build a temple in a world built to cage,
Feelin' close to the truth,
but it's just outta range.
You ever look at the stars 'til your thoughts get dizzy?
Like - how the hell I'm small and still carry somethin' heavy
Born of that dust,
but my dreams too heady,
I'm a verse away from God,
but my soul ain't ready.
I'm part of the energy,
but can't find the adapter,
Meditate, medicate - still no chapter.
Writing like the last breath inside of this wrapper,
Each bar a confession that the system ain't capture.
And yeah, I feel anxious - but pain be the muse,
Ink in my veins,
I bleed truth when I bruise.
They say clarity comes when you got nothin' to
lose So I write like a man that done paid all his
dues.
