Why Do I Smile
I was having an ordinary day,
Nothing special, nothing new,
Then you walked into the room,
And
suddenly, I knew. I tried to keep a straight face,
Tried to act like I was fine,
But somehow every time you’re near,
This smile just shows up every time.
I don’t even mean to,
It happens on its own,
Like my heart has found a secret That my mind has never
known.
Why do I smile when I see you?
Why does my whole world change?
Why do the simplest little moments Never seem to feel the same?
I don’t know what you’ve done to me,
I don’t know what this could be,
But every time you’re standing there,
There’s a smile I can’t hide from me.

I guess it’s because of you.
I catch myself daydreaming
In the middle of the day,
Replaying little conversations And the things you didn’t say.
Maybe it’s the way you laugh,
Maybe it’s the way you care,
Maybe it’s just something about you That makes me happy when you’re
there.
I never planned to feel this,
It wasn't on my mind,
But somewhere between hello and goodbye,
You became my favorite part of time.
