Bellatores sumus
Before us stood the mountains,
Grey beneath a sky of stone.
One was built from doubt and whispers,
One from fears we had not known.
One was carved from every “later,” Every reason not to try,
Every excuse we called a shelter,
Every dream we left behind.
And the mountains seemed eternal,
And the summit seemed too far.
But somewhere underneath the silence,
We remembered who we are.
WE ARE WARRIORS (bellatores sumus) SO WE CLIMBED.
One step through the doubt,
One step through the fear,
One step when every voice said,
“You don't belong up here.” We climbed through every excuse,
We climbed through every fall,
And every mountain we overcame
Made us stronger than them all.
The mountain of uncertainty
Rose higher than before.
The mountain called “We cannot”
Waited at the door.
And when we reached the steepest path,
Our strength began to fade,
But discipline became our compass,
And persistence
became our blade.
WE ARE WARRIORS (BELLATORES SUMUS!) We did not wait for courage.
We did not wait for ease.
WE MOVED BEFORE THE FEAR WAS GONE.
WE CLIMBED BECAUSE WE BELIEVED.
SO WE CLIMBED. AND WE CLIMBED AGAIN.
Through the doubt,
Through the fear,
Through the voices telling us We'd never make it here.
Every step became a promise,
Every failure taught us how.
The strength we were searching for Was being forged somehow.
And higher still we wandered,
Where the clouds were torn apart,
Until the mountains lay beneath us
Like shadows from the start.
We turned and saw the valleys,
Saw the road we'd traveled through—
Every stone that once had stopped us,
Every dream we carried through.
And tears became our sunlight,
Shining softly from our eyes,
For the view before us stretched
Beyond the edge of skies.
We did not go with the crowd.
We conquered mountains still:
The strength we thought we'd lost Had been growing with each stair.
WE ARE WARRIORS (BELLATORES SUMUS!)
We found strength in every struggle,
We found courage in the climb,
We found discipline in darkness,
We found patience over time.
The summit gave no crown to us,
No throne beneath the sun.
It gave us the sight of all we'd crossed— And the legends
we'd become.
BELLATORES SUMUS
WE ARE WARRIORS! WE CLIMBED THE MOUNTAINS OF DOUBT!
WE CLIMBED THE MOUNTAINS OF FEAR!
WE CLIMBED EVERY EXCUSE THAT TOLD US WE COULD NEVER GET HERE!
AND WE ROSE. Not because the road was easy,
Not because we never fell— WE ROSE BECAUSE EACH TIME WE STUMBLED,
WE LEARNED TO RISE AGAIN.
ONE STEP.
ONE CHOICE.
ONE MORE DAY. ONE MORE STEP.
ONE MORE STEP.
ONE MORE STEP. And now beneath the morning,
With the whole world spread below,
We lift our tear-filled eyes
To the light that starts to glow.
The mountains once before us
Are now beneath our feet.
And through the tears upon our faces,
We smile at what we see:
VIKIMUS. Not by never falling.
Not by never being afraid.
BUT BY CLIMBING EVERY MOUNTAIN WE ONCE THOUGHT WOULD MAKE US BREAK.
BELLATORES SUMUS.
WE ARE WARRIORS! WE CLIMB.
WE RISE. WE ENDURE.
