Postman

Down on Cherry Lane

she walks her daily route

With a leather satchel and a smile so bright and true

She knows every name,

she never skips a door

The sweetest postman's wife that you ever saw

And her gentleman, the postman of the town

With a tipped-up cap,

he never wears a frown

He's kind and sweet to all the kids along the street

They make the finest pair that you could ever meet (so sweet)

She's his darlin' postman's wife,

shining like the sun

Doing her job so well,

loved by everyone

And he's her darlin' postman,

the sweetest gent around Familiar and so friendly in this happy little

town

(yeah, yeah!)

Rain or shine they deliver

all the letters with a grin

Neighbors open up their doors and let the laughter in

She's his darlin' postman's wife,

shining like the sun

Doing her job so well,

loved by everyone And he's her darlin' postman,

the sweetest gent around Familiar and so friendly in this happy little

town

(ooh, yeah!)

She's his darlin' postman's wife

And he's her darlin' gentleman

(bye bye,

see you tomorrow!)
