Quiet Rain Comfort

The rain is tapping on the windowpane

No need to wonder

if it's clear tomorrow

The streetlights blur

in a quiet glow

Let the morning find

its own way here

The shadows rest

upon the floor

We don't need to ask for more

Tonight is warm and quiet enough

No chasing shadows in the dark

Just the steady

rhythm

of our breath

And the rain

outside

The clock is ticking

slow

and deep

There is a shelter

in this peace

The worries fade

into

the gray

We leave behind

the busy day

Tonight is warm and quiet enough

No chasing shadows in the dark

Just the steady

rhythm

of our breath

And the rain

outside

Let it fall,

let

it

go

Tonight

is enough
