My dad don't talk to me that much
We live in different worlds of silent space
No calls, no letters,
no real touch Just names upon a page we can't erase And
I don't have contact with my bio mom
Just empty spaces where a heart should be
It's really well knowing they don't want to be here
In this life I'm trying to make clear
I want good parents,
but I don't have them now
Just trying to figure out how
(ohhh, how)
I look at others,
see what I missed
A hand to hold,
a voice to guide the way
But I am crossing names off of a list And learning what
to do from day to day
Growing up on my own
It's really well knowing they don't want to be here
In this life I'm trying to make clear
I want good parents,
but I don't have them now
Just trying to figure out how
(ohhh, how)
I want good parents...
(but I don't have them) Growing up
anyway.
