Listen. Four women die daily in the U.S.,

killed by current or former intimate partners (A love that turned to

hate)

What do I say about this?

Do I just sit back and wait?

That’s but all —One hundred and forty women and girls,

Are killed by a family member or intimate partner globally.

People are—losing control.

Every day around the world,

it's a silent, raging war What am I fighting for?

Killed every 10 to 11 minutes—a life erased,

a light gone out By someone they love and trust

... that is what’s goin on.

Can I take responsibility for myself and look inside?

To prevent this many deaths,

I gotta swallow my pride.

So I'm drawing a line in the sand right now,

this is my sacred vow.

I am BFF America.

I take the pledge of nonviolence.

I’m living it daily.

I will be nonviolent.

Respect my body, protect Mother Earth.

the things that I choose to say I won't let my ego

or my anger lead me astray.

I'm checking my reflection,

I'm looking in my eyes

Am I part of the problem,

or am I part of the rise?

I won't pass the blame,

I won't look the other way

I'm owning my actions,

starting right now.

Everyday every night.

I will be grateful for myself.

No more excuses.

No more "not my problem." No more looking away,

I have to solve them.

This is my body,

my temple, my soul.

This is my planet,

and I'm taking control.
