I used to stand in front of mirrors
Looking for what I should change,
Trying to find some perfect version That would make me feel okay.
But I'm tired of chasing shadows,
Tired of hiding what I see,
'Cause this body
has been with me
Through every
version of me.
I'm still learning,
still becoming,
Still figuring out who I'll be,
And maybe I don't need to love
Every part to let it be.
I'm growing into me,
Not somebody else's dream,
Learning not to apologize For the person underneath.
I don't have to shrink my story,
I don't have to change my skin,
I can look into the mirror And be gentle with what I
see.
I'm growing, I'm becoming,
And that's enough for me.
Some days I'll feel
uncertain,
Some days I'll feel strong,
Some days
I'll look at myself
And wonder where I belong.
But growing isn't perfect,
And changing isn't shame,
I'm allowed to meet myself
Again
and again.
So I'll stop keeping score Of everything I think is wrong,
And start noticing the little things That carried me this far along.
I'm growing into me,
Not somebody else's dream,
Learning not to apologize For the person underneath.
I don't have to shrink my story,
I don't have to change my skin,
I can look into the mirror And be gentle with what I
see.
I'm growing, I'm becoming,
And that's enough for me.
This is my body,
My home,
my history, Not a problem to be solved,
Just a
part of who I'll be.
And I don't know where I'm going,
But I know I'm moving on—
Not toward perfection,
Just toward feeling
like I
belong.
I'm growing into me,
And I'm finally letting myself breathe,
No more measuring my worth
By what somebody else wants me to be.
I can change, I can stay,
I can take it day by day,
And I'll meet myself with kindness Along the way.
I'm growing,
I'm becoming,
And for the first time,
I can
see— I don't have to become
somebody else To be worthy of being me.
I'm still growing.
I'm
still learning. I'm still me.
