White Knight’s Farewell

White knight walks beside me in the morning light

Head bumps and raised hands,

tricks we

shared

Jumping chair to chair

like a circus lion

Your snowy fur

glowing in the dawn

Artemis, our snowy boy,

we miss you

so

Running free in heaven's park with no more pain

We'll meet again one day,

in God's gentle hands

White knight,

forever in our hearts

Mummy watches your little head and wonders

Forgives the bite,

hopes you'll run to her

in heaven

Kids on the couch at night,

you join us there

Gentleman to Luna,

always letting her eat first

No more suffering now,

only joy and play

In heaven's light you roam,

our beloved friend

We hold these memories close

until

we meet

again

Artemis, our snowy boy,

we miss you so

Running free in heaven's park with no more pain

We'll meet again one day,

in God's gentle hands

White knight,

forever in our hearts
