As a kid, I kept my antisocial side well-fed with fingertips and fretboards—talk about a balanced diet! I taught myself piano theory by ear, which means if it makes noise, I can cover songs with I t. Aviation is my other passion, so I guess you could say I’m always up in the air about things. I’m a solo girl dad, a US Navy vet, a helicopter pilot, an aircraft mechanic, and a materials scientist. Oh, and I’m a multi-instrumentalist, because why play one instrument when you can confuse everyone with several?
