Mellow Tides Records artist/songwriting/label project spearheaded by MKG (Matthew Kenneth Gray), a 40 year veteran of the Music Industry & Songwriter. Starting as a a tennis playing poet at Watsonville High School, he discovered his creative writing passion fit well with music, so after writing songs with friends, he studied Music Business Admin at Trebas Institute of Recording Arts in Hollywood, CA. After interning at Epic Records during Pearl Jam's rise and Rage Against the Machine's debut album and eventually working as an External for Sony Music VP of Creative Development (Bobby Colomby), Matt went home armed to succeed. As a lyricist, Matt has worked with such talented songwriters as Lisa Aschmann, Barbara Lopez, Chris & Phil Harrington, Jon & Anthony Fesmire, Ryan Price and Jeff Jacobs.
